Lučka M. Lesjak Sokli

is an architect who, since her student years, has been driven by a sincere passion for creating spaces that people need for a high-quality, functional and pleasant life. She understands architecture as an interweaving of aesthetics, technical precision and responsibility for space, which is why in every project

she strives for a balance between idea, usability, spatial identity and feasibility. Her work is guided by the belief that architecture is not just a built structure, but a cultural and social statement.

At the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Ljubljana, she focused on architecture and urbanism - two fields that, with their different criteria, open up a broader, more complex understanding of space. She completed part of her studies at the Technical University of Vienna.

Since 2007, she has been managing the architectural bureau BIRO 42 d.o.o. She is a member of the Chamber of Architecture and Spatial Planning of Slovenia, president of the Association of Coastal Architects and anotHERVIEWture, which operates within the Austrian Bundeskammer der Ziviltechniker:innen.

He understands architecture broadly and socially responsible, so in addition to design, he also works in the field of education, awareness-raising and promotion of quality space. He perceives architecture as a profession that requires empathy, professionalism and responsibility. Therefore, in his work, he always strives to create solutions that improve the quality of life in the long-term in the respected space in which they are placed. In planning, he therefore focuses on the dialogue between architectural structure, light, materiality and the selected artistic or cultural element — whether it is preserved paintings, contemporary artistic interventions, heritage fragments or unique spatial installations.
